The Social Medicine Response Team is made up of trained Public Safety Chaplains, Community Chaplains and other support personnel that can be activated to assist in mitigating continuous non-emergency 911 dispatches through an on-site assessment and referral process.  Instead of the first responding agencies spending time assessing and contacting multiple resources, for each high volume client location, SMRT would be activated.  SMRT will report back to, the requesting agency, on the progress of the contact and relationship with the client.

The Social Medicine Response Team helps bring all the resources together to achieve a solution for each high volume client.  Each client has specific needs with specific resources to meet those needs.  SMRT will assess those needs and bring the appropriate resources into play, with the final goal of mitigating continuous non-emergency 911 dispatches.

SMRT official website is www.smrtrequest.com.
